Privacy Policy Twitter

With the following data protection information, we (responsible in the sense of General Data Protection Regulation) explain which personal data we collect about you when you visit the Twitter channel of the fodjan GmbH.

Personal data are all data with which you can be personally identified. The Twitter-Channel is used by us as an information platform for the general public and for targeting interested followers. We only process data if you provide us with information through your tweets. The data entered by you on Twitter, in particular your user name and the content published under your account, will be processed by us, insofar as we re-tweet them, reply to them or we also write tweets refering to your account. The data freely published and distributed by you on Twitter is thus included in our offer and made accessible to our followers. We point out that you use this Twitter channel and the functions voluntarily and on your own responsibility. This applies in particular to the use of interactive functions (e.g. re-tweets, like, comments).

We use the technical platform and services of Twitter Inc, 1355 Market Street, Suite 900, San Francisco, CA 94103 U.S.A. for the information service offered here. Responsible for data processing of persons living outside the United States is Twitter International Company, One Cumberland Place, Fenian Street, Dublin 2 D02 AX07, Ireland.

Data processing by Twitter

Data that you disseminate via Twitter (possibly also sensitive data such as political attitudes, sexual orientation or health problems) can be linked together and used to create a personality profile. Even if you passively read the channel without using the functions, log data (IP address, browser type, operating system, information on the website and pages you previously visited, your location, your mobile phone provider, the terminal device you use – including device ID and application ID -, the search terms you used and cookie information) is collected. Information on previously visited pages and location data are also collected.

By using Twitter, your personal information will be collected, transferred, stored, disclosed and used by Twitter Inc. regardless of your residence in the United States, Ireland and any other country where Twitter Inc. does business, and will be transferred, stored and used by Twitter Inc.

When you visit our channel, Twitter collects inter alia voluntarily entered data such as name and user name, e-mail address, telephone number or the contacts in your address book when you upload or synchronize it. Twitter also evaluates the content you share to determine what topics you are interested in, stores and processes confidential messages that you send directly to other users, and can determine your location using GPS data, wireless network information, or your IP address and cookies placed on your device to send you advertising or other content. Using Twitter buttons or widgets integrated into websites and the use of cookies, Twitter is able to record your visits to these websites and assign them to your Twitter profile.

Twitter may also use analysis tools for evaluation. We have not commissioned, approved or otherwise supported this in any way. Nor are data obtained from the analysis made available to us. Only certain non-personal information about tweet activity, such as the number of profile or link clicks through a particular tweet, is visible to us. We have no way to prevent or disable the use of such tools on the respective Twitter account.
