Recommendation: Before you do the documentation for milk related key figures, we recommend that you read the help article Introduction: Documentation in fodjan. There we explain many general functions that you will also find in the milk documentation page.
In fodjan you can document milk yield and the milk price in App and Pro. This data is not only an overview for you, but also the basis for the generated evaluations in feed controlling (e.g. feed efficiency), read more here.
Required user rights: Write rights, owner or admin.
Go to Documentation > Milk in the left menu.
Milk yield
Select milk yield in the top left-hand corner. At the top right you can select whether you want to enter the milk yield in kg or l, per day or for a period or for the herd or group.
You can enter the milk yield manually for a period of time or for the day.
Note: The milk yield entered in the feed group settings is not included in the documentation. More about feed group settings here.
Milk yield data is not automatically updated / processed forward.
Milk price
Select milk price in the upper left corner.
The milk price is also automatically taken from the farm settings (for example, you can find it on the overview page of fodjan Pro). The milk price is updated from the last change (grey values). You can confirm the values with “Accept values” or remove them with “Discard values”.
Note: If the milk price is changed in the farm settings, this change is transferred to the documentation. If the milk price is changed in the documentation, this will also appear in the farm settings.
In the menu at the bottom, go to Reports. Then click on Documentation at the top. Alternatively, you can also access the documentation via quick access under “Overview”.
The milk yield and milk price can now be documented at the top.
Milk yield
Click on milk yield. The milk yield can be entered manually for a period of time or for a specific day.
The entry can be differentiated according to tank and extra milk or documented as total milk quantity. An entry is therefore only possible at herd level, not at group level.
The milk yield can only be entered in kg. Milk yield values are not automatically updated.

Milk price
Click on milk price.
The milk price can only be documented for a specific date. It is automatically updated from the last change.
