In fodjan, animal groups are sorted into allocations. An allocation can, for example, designate a specific stable (e.g. dairy stable). The assignments serve purely to sort the animal groups and to provide an overview of the number of animals, e.g. per stable.

Set up or edit allocation

In the menu on the left, go to feed group. There, an allocation “Stall 1” is set up as a default.

• If you want to edit this allocation, click on the pencil symbol on the right.
• If you want to add another allocation, click on the “Add allocation” button at the top right.

Enter the required data and go to the “Save” button.

Once you have set up your allocations, you can add feed groups in the allocations.

Adding feed groups

1. Go to “Animal Groups” in the left menu.
2. Here go to the plus field which appears in the allocation.

3. Enter the required master data of the group you want to add. You can also find more about master data here: Mastering feed group settings. For dairy cows, you have the option of adding concentrate feeding stations at this point. Then scroll down and go to the button “Save & Close” or “Save”.

• “Save & Close”: This option is useful if you want to create more feed groups without changing any further details.
• “Save”: Here you are immediately forwarded to further requirements for the group. This option is useful, for example, if you still want to edit e.g. ingredient requirements.

In this way, create all the allocations and feed groups that match the farm.

Edit feed groups

1. Go to Feed Group in the left menu.
2. Move the mouse over the feed group you want to edit. A box with three different buttons appears. Go down there and click on the button “Edit group”.

3. Adjust the data and then go to the button “Save & Close” or else “Save”.

Deleting feed groups

1. Go to Animal Groups in the left menu.
2. Go with the mouse over the feed group you want to delete and click the red trash bin.

Attention! When deleting a feed group, the associated settings and rations are also deleted.
