In fodjan, feedstuffs can be archived manually or deleted in order to keep your feed stock clear. In addition, fodjan helps you with automatic archiving of feed if there is a new version of it, e.g. due to a feed test you have taken over. You can find out more about manual and automatic archiving and the retrieval of feed below.
- In the left menu, go to Feedstuffs > Stock.
- In the desired feed, go to the red archive box icon.
- Confirm that you want to archive the feed. See below for how to view and retrieve archived feed.
- Now switch to the tab “Archive”.
Here you can see all archived feeds.
Feed is archived automatically,
- if you select the function “Replace feed”, e.g. if an old feed is replaced by a new one from a current feed analysis.
- when ingredients of a feed are adjusted. If ingredients are adjusted several times, a little triangle appears in front of the name of the feed. If you click on it, all “old” variants of the feed appear. This allows you to trace back changes to feeds at any time.
Automatically archived feeds cannot be added back to the stock because there is a more recent version of it.
Manually archived feed can be added back to the stock at any time.
- Under Feedstuffs > Stock, check the box at the bottom for “Show archive”.
- For manually archived feed, a stock symbol appears on the right. Click on it to add the feed back to the stock. Then enter the quantity that you currently have in the stock. Then click on the “Save” button.
The archived feed has been added back to the stock.
- Archive the feed manually (see first section above).
- Your feed archive appears. If you want to delete the feed permanently, go to the red trash bin here and confirm the final deletion.
The feed has now been deleted from your inventory.
Note: Only feed that is not used in any ration can be permanently deleted. For feed that is used in a ration, a grey symbol appears instead of the red one. These feeds cannot be deleted.
- Go to Feedstuffs in the menu at the bottom.
- Press and hold the feed you want to edit until a red and a green button appear on the right.
- Go to the red button “Remove” and confirm that the feed should be removed.
The feed has been deleted from your inventory. If you use the fodjan App as part of your fodjan Pro licence, the feeds deleted in the fodjan App will be shown as archived in fodjan Pro.
