Milk Report

Required: fodjan Pro Dairy Cow or fodjan App Premium.

If you set up the milk report interface and import your milk report, you can clearly display the results of your milk report in fodjan.

6-fields-graphic

If you have successfully imported your MLP into fodjan, you will now see the 6-field panel at the top. In the panel to the right you will see the explanations of how the 6-field panel is displayed. More on this below.

Filter lactation phase

In both panels you can set the lactation day (for the animals you want to look at) by moving the slider to the right or left accordingly or by entering the desired lactation day in the corresponding field. This allows you to assess the risk of certain diseases depending on the lactation stage of your animals.

Select period and milk report

At the top you can select the year from which you want to display the milk reports.

Using the arrow icons to the right of the date of the currently displayed milk report, you can go back and forth in the milk reports of the corresponding year.

Link panels to apply settings

You can select whether you want to link all panels (6- and 9-field graphics) and displays on this page. If you tick this box, only data from one milk report will be displayed on the page, i.e. if you change the milk report in one of the displays, it will also change in the other displays.

9-fields graphic

If you scroll further down the entire page, you can find the 9-field panel. As with the 6-field panel, you can also select lactation day, year and the desired milk report.

Raw data

If you scroll down the page even further, you can view the raw data of the milk report. To do so, click on the blue arrow symbol under “Raw data”.

Here you can also change the year and the milk report of the year. 25 animals are displayed per page. With the help of the corresponding arrow symbols you can change the pages and thus have more animals listed.

In the fodjan App Premium you can also view the results of your milk report as a 9-field table and 6-field table.

To do so, go to Reports in the bottom menu.

Here you will find the 6- and 9-field table:

The 9-field chart in the fodjan app

If you have imported a milk report for the current year, you can see the most recent 9-field table for this year here.

  • The individual blue dots mark the values of the individual animals, the orange diamond marks the mean value of your herd.
  • By clicking on the year at the bottom left you can change the year of the milk report, by clicking on the date at the bottom right you can select the date of the milk report.
  • Below you can change the lactation day. To do this, either enter the lactation period you want to view in the number fields on the left or right or set the period using the slider. By looking at different lactation periods you can assess the risk of certain diseases depending on the lactation stage of your animals.

If you tap on the 9-field panel, the auxiliary view with the meaning of the individual fields disappears. If you tap on the 9-field panel again, the help view reappears.

The 6-fields graphic in the fodjan app
  • the individual blue dots mark the values of the individual animals
  • the orange rhombus marks the average value of your herd.
  • As with the 9-field chart, you can set the year and date of the milk report here at the bottom, as well as the lactation period you want to view.

By tapping on the chart you can switch between the normal view and various overlays. The following areas are displayed here:

  • Area with increased risk of ketosis or acidosis.
  • Areas of energy deficiency and energy surplus
  • Protein deficiency and protein surplus areas
